Fiber Optic Cable

OK, I've been working on the interior and got new cable, shift pointer, etc, etc. I hooked the cable up to the pointer but there's nowhere to hook the cable into the inst. cluster. I found a reference in my assembly manual that shows an adapter on the light next to the speedo. I have checked every catalog I own and can find nothing. Where can I find one???
Next, I ordered new dash defrost vents and they don't fit. Has anyone gotten new vents that DO fit, and if so, where did you get them. Of course if I could find NOS, that would be great.
Thanks for any help!

Regards, Paul

Re: Fiber Optic Cable

got dash vents from classic industries in kc, mo. they fit like they should. I also have questions about fiber optic shift indicator light. When I changed columns, I thought it was a wire so I cut it in two ( anyone know how to sodder it back together....lol). seriously (I did cut it, just anyother question), I have another from a donor truck, the one on my 69 hooked into a specialized socket on the high beam indicator light? You only know what gear you are in at night if you have your high beams on? just curious, I plan to hook it to one of the instrument lights. just seemed a bit odd to me.

Re: Fiber Optic Cable

Check the parts board, maybe put up a want to buy, someone should have one. No it should not be hooked up to the high beam light, use one of the dash light sockets.

Re: Fiber Optic Cable

Paul, I have a fiber optic cable with the male plug that goes in a light socket on the dash panel. You are welcome to it. You can email me or call. ray.toni@earthlink.net or phone 336-427-4333
