1966 C10 Flywheel cover question

I did a preliminary search on the forums...but specifically...

I was driving my truck today that I bought last week. It runs fine, but started noticing a squeaking noise. I stopped and looked under the truck while running. Looked to me (I'm not that familiar with manual transmission) like the flywheel was exposed and the squeaking was coming from where it was going into the transmission oil pan. No cover on. I could see the bolt holes where the cover is to be bolted, but have no idea what it looks like. How is the the squeaking part (conjecture here) that is going into the oil pan lubed? It has snowed here and so the undercarraige was getting plenty of water on it.

Also where can I locate a cover?

Thanks!

I'm thinking we might need a pic of this....it's a little hard to know just what you are refering to. The manual transmissions don't have oil pans. Is yours a 3spd or a 4spd?

Re: 1966 C10 Flywheel cover question

Sorry for the vagueries, I just did a quick peak on the side of the road in the snow, so my assessments are no doubt very clouded

It is the flywheel cover that is missing, no doubt...I will take a pic today (supposed to warm up, so no crawling in the snow) and point out the specific area that is "chirping".
