Flowsound mufflers????

Has any one ever run these. If not here is the scoop I got today at the muffler shop. Flowmaster let their patent run out on there 40 series and this company picked it up. The guy at the shop put the two mufflers next to each other and I couldn't tell the difference. Then he showed me a cut away of both. No difference. Both aluminized both weighed the same. And I haven't gotten a sound sample yet but they are supposed to sound the same. He sells flow master for about 90 a muffler and the flow sound was 45. I found a place in MO today that will send them to you 39.95 shipped. I am going to give them a shot on my 67 next month when I get it on the road. If anyone has these mufflers hit me up and tell me what you think. If not I will give you guys a report then.

Re: Flowsound mufflers????

I ordered on for a friend of mine to put on his tahoe. Will give you a report as soon as it is on. I figured 79 for 2 40 series mufflers if they sounded half as good you would have to be happy with it. The quality was there

X2
I've run them also, and don't sound exactly like Flowmasters, but they do sound real good. They don't sound as "tinny" as the Flowmasters do. They are a little deeper, which I like.

Please tell me that they are made in the USA and not some cheap Chinese knockoffs.

Re: Flowsound mufflers????

I bought a set last year. I paid $40 a piece. Like wise was showed the cut version and the flowmaster. ($90) Only difference was the Logo imprinted on the flowmasters. I'm satisfied.
