Question Upgrading brakes

I am attempting to put a power brake booster on a 1966 chevy fleetside truck but, it looks as though i will have to drill holes to mount it to the firewall. Once i have that accomplished it looks like the brake pedal pushrod is to long in order to connect to the back of the power booster...which has it's own pushrod!! What parts do i need to complete this hair raising task of installing the power booster and connecting the pushrod which came with the truck. Do i have to purchase a special part.
