I never have, but I would stick to rubberized undercoating. if you ever decided you didn't want it anymore it would be impossible to remove, and if you ever had to replace any metal due to rust, you don't know how that lining would react to welding.

I will be putting the roll on duplicolor stuff in my cab this week. I am only going to apply it to the floor and firewall area, however. I painted the rest of the cab. It won't be visable, but I'm hoping it will help quiet down things a little.

I've got Rhino in my truck it's been in for three years and it was money well spent. I never haul more than lawn chairs and coolers, but I never worry about scatches and can haul more If I need to, worry free. Here is a pic from when I first had it put in. It looks the same today as it did 3 yrs. ago.

OK I failed my reading test ! I just noticed you were talking about in the cab. I think it is a great idea for noise and heat reduction.

There are quite a few guys who have had spray in liners put into their Blazer interiors. I plan on doing that as well someday. I have heard its a great way to cut down road noise. You could just put it on the areas of your cab that are covered by carpet and then no one would even see it. Put some sound matting in the doors and it would be nice in the cab.

Has anyone seen the new liner that you can spray graphics into it?

A bubby of mine with A 72 K-5 did the whole in interior of his himself. He used the role on stuff, it came out real nice, I am not concerned about noise the louder the better you should hear my Camaro...Anyway it made it nice and quite on the inside.

Well, you'd never have to worry about your buddy scrathing the kickpanel with his boots, and your wife/G.F. could put her feet on the dash (GRRRR!) but I wouldn't think the overall appearence would be all that great.

Quick68c10, I am having line-x sprayed on the floor and underside of my cab. I am not worried about rust and such because the truck will only see the garage, and sunshine.

One thing to think about before you chose line-x or rhino, is that rhino liners are rubberie, it's like they spray in a rubber mat. and line-x there liners are hard like hard plastic. I chose line-x because my buddy works there and I got a hell of a deal.

I will let everyone know how my cab comes out when I get it done. Should be soon but I have to have the frame powder coated first. But I will have that done before the new year ??
(i hope) Anyway witch ever one you choose they are both good, companies. good luck

I line-X'd my Jimmy a few months ago , the bed and cab floor. It came out great. I didn't do the kick panels or door jambs for fear it would bind when they close. I tried to post a few pics but they didn't come out. I highly recommend it. The guys that did mine have been doing it for several years and did a great job, I'd just check out whoever you get to do it.

I would think that with spray in bedliner would really keep the rust problem to a min, I know my cab corners rusted from the inside out, same with my rockers. I plan on putting it in my cab when I do the full resto thing, right up to the windshield under the dash, on the floor, right up back wall, you could even get it underneath the headliner and on the inside of the door skins, carpet on the floor and you won't know the diff. Could then use expanding foam inside the pillars, and you should have a really quiet ride, that is probably well insulated too. all this stuff would help keep out moisture too, and if you keep it painted, undercoated and clean your truck should last forever!

I rhino'd the interior on my K5 4x4 daily driver. Did floor pan up side walls and rails top sits on. Did tailgate and rear exterior metal below the floor. I also opted to do the kickpanels and sill plate area. It quieted the road noise will permanently prevent rust and actually helps with the stereo. It was easier for me to do this as I own the Rhino dealer here in Anchorage. I can attest to the fact that as an owner I wouldn't have put it in if I ever thought I had to take out.

I screwed up when I had mine done. I had some dents in the floor that I did'nt take care of. Now I want to do a frame off resto and you can't get this stuff off. One guy told me the only way is to take a razor knife and make 1 inch cuts and take a chisel and pry it up, then a pliers and peel it back. I think I'll let my 11 year old do it. Looks like a good job to build character.

I did the floor, kickpanels, door panels and glovebox door myself in my 68. It turned out nice. I am very happy with it. The only thing is with the door panels you have to watch your nuckles. It can be rough on them. I can atach some pics later when i get home if interested.
