Searched the forum and found LockDoc's post and website about how to get an ignition switch removed without a proper key. I have ran this truck since 1994 with a crappy True Value replacement key, and it was so worn out that it wouldn't stay in the ignition. Might as well not have a key at all. The problem was I couldn't get another reground since the key I had was so well worn, so I ordered a replacement set including the doors, ignition and keys from Early Classic when I bought my drop kit.

Fast forward to today when I got time to do this, I started with the doors, and completed them pretty uneventfully. Time for the ignition, and I couldn't make ANYTHING work. I was at it for hours... Believe me I spent about 45 minutes all over this site today trying to find anything that would help me. I finally resorted to the drillbit method since I do not own a Sawzall, and I ended up stripping out the threads on the bezel in the process. I found a replacement ignition switch locally, but no one carries the bezel, so I got online. Has anybody ordered one, and are they pretty universal as far as threads and fitment go, or are they no longer available?

Sold it. Bought it back, dumped an ungodly amount of money into it since then.
