Turn signal lever..

Okay..I am starting to put together a truck I bought in pieces 3 years ago..Noticed my turn signal lever is not attached to my steering column and I have a some universal chrome looking turn lever in my "box o goodies"...Will my column have to be taken apart to replace the original and let me guess...Thats a headache..

Thanks

Re: Turn signal lever..

Yes, in order to properly put the blinker lever back on, you will have to remove the steering wheel.

The lever has a screw that must be secured into the plastic housing inside of the bellhousing of the steering column. Be sure to inspect that plastic housing as well once you're inside of it too, to make sure that piece isn't cracked or damaged.

If it's cracked or damaged, the lever may not stand up to any aggressive blinker switching.

All in all, it's not that bad. Good luck getting it taken care of.
