Transfer case mount......

Does this mount look correct (the square tubing is not attached to the frame rail, and i'm not sure what it's doing there)? The mount attaches to the transmission correctly, but I don't see anything to help support the transfer case.

What concerns me is the angle from the trans to the t-case.

Does anyone have a picture of the transfer case installed with the correct mounts?

Looks right to me. My brother has a 87 K5 with the same setup. I'll look and confirm the angle and I'll take a few pics.

Truck is an 86, Np208, 350/700R4

I have that same support on my 69 and it came out of a 80's truck the two spacers on the bolts in the middle should be on the outside one where the sq tube is and the other on the other side with four bolts holding the support to the frame.the 208 has a strait input shaft and mine with a T400 is strait from trans through the transfer case. There also should be a torque bar from the transfer case to the bell housing on the trans. I fabbed a bracket to the frame and mounted the transfer case to it with a neoprene bushing.

i have an 85, looks like the same POS corossmember, the angle is "to me" just what happens to them over time, and it also pulls the rubber mount in center apart in bending, loosens the bolts too over time. the sq i would say the PO wedged it in there to help prevent this from getting worse. (however it bends in middle not out the ends) the crossmeber is a weak design to me. wait to you hit something in the center of it offroading or get it hung on something it will bend it further down real easy. very weak, i'm replacing with an earlier type better crossection area. i'm assuming it is on the truck in avaitar...
