Actually did something today.

eric67m and I pulled a cab off a 67 I have stored out at the farm today and ran it up to his house and put it on his 67 K10 chassis.

Let me tell you its very simple to pull a cab off a chassis and load into the bed of one of our trucks when you use a loader tractor.

Not as easy taking the cab out of the truck with two guys and a cherry picker and then lifting it up onto a 4x4 chassis.

Thank goodness Eric took it easy on the decrepit old guy...lol. I had fun today Eric...Now get that K10 back on the road where it belongs.

Sorry no pics. After we pulled the cab off the donor truck I said dang I forgot to take pics. We considered staging it for a pic...for about 2 seconds lol, and decided not to.

Re: Actually did something today.

Ok, I found this thread. Here are a couple of pics. The first two are of the rust in the floor of my old cab. Next pic is my old cab cut up. The final pic is of the new cab with my old doors on to keep some of the water out.

Thank you again Mark. I really appreciate your generousity.

Re: Actually did something today.

I realized today that I have never had a truck with cab corners or a gas pedal. I have always driven on "the rod" with no studs to hold the bottom of the gas pedal on.

I am so stoked.
