Points ignition Questions
Is the condenser attached to the coil the same condenser used inside the distributer????
Which side of the coil does it go on (positive or negative)??????

Re: Points ignition Questions
Yes, another of the same condenser will work. All the condenser on the coil does is surpress electronic noise. You really do not need it unless you are still using your AM radio. I believe it goes on the negative side.

Re: Points ignition Questions
are you talking about the condenser "looking" pice that attached to the coil bracket? if so, then you are looking at the noise suppressor for the radio.
the condensor that's contained in the distributor will be connected to the negative post on the coil. ^^ looks like busted knuckle beat me to it!

Re: Points ignition Questions
The condenser actually helps prevent the points from arcing which would shorten their life.A noise suppressor is iirc is mounted on the coil + between the ign switch and coil
