Anything wrong with doing this?

Anything wrong with running braided brake line hose from the master cylinder to the front brakes??? Is this goign to be ridiculously expensive??? I have to run new brake lines because the old ones do not clear the headers...

Any thoughts???

Re: Anything wrong with doing this?

you will have a loss of brake psi due to the hose expansion of the lenth of braided brake line from the master cylinder to the front brakes. thats why they use hard line up to the flex points. i had much the same problem with the brake lines not clearing the headers (1972 1/2 ton long box 350/350 auto p/s p/b) and if i remember correct i removed the 1/4 in nut and bolt that is vertical mounted to the frame rail and moved the lines forward or back to gain the clearance needed. it wood be worth a go if it could work for you.

Re: Anything wrong with doing this?

if you do the SS brake lines, use the teflon SS lines....these lines dont expand like the 'normal' SS lines do.....also the teflon SS lines require a diffrent style AN fitting....so yes you can do the braided SS lines, just make sure you get the teflon ones if you do.....
