I have six of these engines for sale. I would like to get $500 or best offer per engine.

That's quite a stash of torque you have there!!
Just curious, In your first picture on the lower right side I see what appears to be a Ford Boss or Cobra finned aluminum valve cover.. At first I was thinking a Boss 302 or 351 cleveland, but they do not have an oil pressure port on the back of the block.. does it happen to be a 429/460 Cobra? Or just a Cobra valve covered big block?

that is a 351 cleveland that's hard to find nice motor. Thats for sale too!

Does the Cleveland have the 4V heads? I suspect not since it has a 2-barrel carb but I had to ask.

I posted them at MTS and could only get one guy to comment on them. These ford are foreign to me how would I tell if it has 4V heads?

The 351C's had either 2V or 4V cast into the head between the intake and valve cover on one end or the other.. no real need to look since yours has a factory 2bbl on it they are 2V... the manifolds are not interchangable.. (well... they will bolt on... but there will be a BIG vacumn leak).

Al, yes one is a 70 eldo with a rear pickup or sump but a guy from L.A. is buying it for alot of money. More money than I thought it was worth.

How much? It's worth more than 3K, if it has the right crank.

grendel, yes the 70 caddy engine that came out of the eldorado has the right crank as I have been told.

All the older higher comp. engines need better fuel or you have to cut the timing way back to avoid the dreaded spark knock!

No, actually they didn't. At least 3 different cranks available, Mike.

Also, I have a 70 Caddy that runs fine on 89 octane.

OK, I am not a expert so please point out which crank is best. My opinion only based on the caddy BB's I have run. What compression ratio are you at with the 70 motor? Thanks.

All caddy motors are some of the best Big block power Gm put out. So please buy from Rick if you are considering this fine upgrade. Not trying to step on your sale Rick. I loved the 500 I had in my truck.

the right crank #'s end in 094. The book states the the '70 motor is 10:1 comp, but up to date testing puts it at 9.4:1. from a collector's stand point that is the crank to have, for $3000.... I don't know... the other cranks are strong as well only slightly less. the higher comp comes from the desirable 76cc heads. (904's and the newer 950's) engine HP rating (ways of testing) changed in 1971, that is the main difference for the HP drop in the '71 and newer 500's.
