WTB Super Clean Fleet Tailgate

Looking for a OE rust free/dent free fleet gate for a 67 Chevy. Willing to pay good money for the right gate (NOS range prices would need to be close to the DFW TX area for inspection).

I don't need a NOS gate because I do plan on flipping the handle. Not interested in aftermarket stuff. Any leads appreciated.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: WTB Super Clean Fleet Tailgate

I have an original '72 tailgate with all the Cheyenne trim. Only one little ding about as big as a pencil eraser. No bow at all It looks near new. I'd like to get around $475.00. I also have a straight GMC gate I'd take less for.

I work in Dallas

Todd

The Chevy gate sounds like a possibility. Where in Dallas? I work in the Garland area.

$600 plus shipping though.

I'm not saying it's not a good deal, I just feel for my application that's priced too high. That's prob a good deal for someone doing a 'correct' restoration vs. what I'm doing (retro look w/some body mods, frame/suspension mods, interior mods, wheels, brakes, FI big block . . ....).

Thanks for the lead though!

Oooo.... Not far @ all. Maybe we could meet @ lunch or after work one day. I could do today or tomorrow but then I'll be out of town for a week for Spring Break vacation w/the family.

I'll PM a contact number & we can go from there.

I understand...I'm planning on flipping the handle on mine which is why I picked up a nice used one that needs a little work for around 100 and selling the take off gate.

Exactly. A couple hunderd is do-able; $600 is too much for my location (minor-rust TX).

I'm in no hurry either. I'll cut the smooth gate I have & put a factory exterior on it before breaking the bank on one. But, should you get in a bind or need to move it sooner than later, keep me in mind .

Re: WTB Super Clean Fleet Tailgate

I have one but it is a Blazer gate so it has the bolt holes across the inside upper lip for the seal hold down bracket? It is pretty straight no rust?

LMK?
