i plan on making my own adjustable panhard bar, but need to know the length from this point to this piont. if someone that has one can measure it for me it would be very appreciated.
below is an early classic bar that i used as a pic referance so you know what i am talking about

Rather than take another persons design maybe, pull centerline of your truck and then you will find the magical number.

I don't think Early classics "Designed the panhard bar" Unfortunately they took it from someone, who took it from someone, who...well you get the point.

because i cant get to my truck right now and it doesnt currently have a panhard bar. plus i am not copying someone elses exactly, my mount brackets are going to be different cuz i already have mounting tabs, 3" lowering blocks and longer u bolts. i just need a measurement so i can make the bar itself

Easy guy's,
The adjustable bar is not what I call adjustable, well not once you install it anyway. I have the one pictured and it's great but the word adjustable is loosley fitting for it. The only way you can adjust it is to take it off.
I can get a measurment in the morning for you, I'm at work tonight but can grab it when I get home.

thanks Andy4639. yah i dont know yet if im going to make it a real adjustable one yet but i might. right know its static drop about 9" in the rear, and the stock panhard bar was running uphill and pulling the diff. to the drivers side so i gotta make a new one cuz im on a very limited budget right now and cant buy one, but i already have the tube to build it, and the 1/4" plate for the tabs.

It not that big of a deal I guess it's just when I saw the adjustable I thought they meant while installed. Once you put it in you shouldn't ever need to move it I guess.

Do stock come in different sizes? Mine bar is like 24" center to center of bolt hole.

There's no point in making it "adjustable" If you're going to make one just set the truck at your ride level and put one side to the rear end and the other side to the frame and wha la!

Moving the stock plate helps with a large drop, the rod will bottom out unless you move it. I moved mine to the inside of the rail but i have seen them on top of the rails as well.

thats how im going to mount mine, but but with my tabs welded to my 3x3x.250 wall steel lowering block

I didn't mean to upset anyone and wasn't aware that you weren't near your truck. Just intended to say that if you measured centerline of the truck and know the travel of the rear end you can find the measurement. Sorry if I came across wrong....ruggs

Looks like 5/8" bolt to me. I tried getting it out, and it ant budghing. I will try again later to remove it. Didn't have a lot of time this afternoon.

3/8" sounds kind of small....oh I just read the tape and it looks more like it says 5/8" or 3/4"
