engine additives
has anyone had any luck with engine additives? got an old 350 in my c20 with quite a bit of blow by but dont really have the money or time to replace the rings or rubuild the motor?

Years back I tried "Restore" in a 350 and worked great. http://www.restoreusa.com/
They have it for 4, 6 & 8 cyls. Buy it at any parts store.

Some people swear by Marvel Mystery Oil. You can use it in crank case and for fuel system.

Put a quart of Lucasoil in everytime you change oil. I did it in my work beater and it burned wayyyyy less oil. Also you could try running heavier oil.

Try looking at the "Energy Release" additives. I have used it for years and the wear on my internal parts is reduced dramaatically. EXAMPLE: I have an engine in the 91 with 273,000 and running strong.

There are some Additives from Liqui Moly , Wynns etc. , but it's only for the Moment . In my Opinion the only Way is to restore your Engine like Big Al says .
These Additives may work , but you have to fill them at regular Intervals . For a Continuance it can be very expensive . |
