bought an eaton posi unit (not a gov loc ) off ebay yesterday, model #19689-010 with carbon friction discs. when i called to pay for it i ended up buying a new precision ring & pinion and master install kit. everything, including shipping, came to a total of $699.00 which i felt was a really good deal. if anyone is interested in buying rear end parts, their # is 866-589-GEAR. the person i dealt with was named Ronnie. the company is located in new york state.

My Dad just had the same one put in his 73 1 ton he paid 1140.00 for the posi carrier new bearings and the labour to install oh and the oil was also included . He said that the truck takes off alot nicer now .oh and thoes are Canadian Dollars

Thats a good deal Jerry. I usually deal with reider racing when it comes to diff stuff. But its too far away from me on the east coast, so it takes forever to get here. I'll have to try these guys out.
4xheaven is in new york state too. They have good prices on 205 parts and they are here in a day. A splined slevee is $150 from GM. They sell them for $70.

i called Eaton before i bought it, just to ask a few questions, and was told that list price on the new posi carrier was $660.00. i used the "buy it now" feature on ebay and got it for $405.00 then i added the r & p and install kit. i was really pleased with the people i dealt with also, they are very knowledgable about their products.
