Check out the colors on my new ride!

Well I have been away from the board for a while but I now have a new toy. Check out the colors on this thing! I got it yesterday and basically stripped everything out of it including the seat covers. After cleaning everything the back seat is like new, not the fronts! Anyway I have never seen one quite like this. I doubt that I will be able to get the fronts done to match the back. This truck is almost rust free. Just a little floor work and one 6" section of the bed rail top. It needs a transmission as it slips pretty bad in reverse, I changed the fluid today and it looked terrible. Anyway I am pumped to have a new project!

I am definately jealous. That thing is in great original shape. That color is pretty wild, I had a parts truck that was that color. Not sure why GM wen't with it but they did.

Re: Check out the colors on my new ride!

Its a 1972, all stock as far as I can tell 123,000 miles. The Original owner paperwork shows it was in Texas until 1994 then it went to Kansas City area, which is where the PO bought it from last year. Seats are kinda cool, I had the top off within an hour after i got it home. I don't plan on putting it back on. The last Blazer I had this style was 30 years ago, and I think it had more rust!

That's really nice, I hope up leave it just the way it is. I think those are highlander seats, awesome. Post a pic of the SPID, sticker on the inside of the glove box.
