cleaned out the garage....found a plasma cutter

OK, maybe not quite like the title says....but....

This morning I sold a set of wheels that I had on my corvette. I sold the corvette a few weeks ago, so I didn't have a need for these. Got $800 for them.

Then I came inside, sat down at the computer and a guy I know of (somewhat local) was selling a plasma cutter, asking $1000 for it or trade. So I emailed him and we agreed on $800 plus a set of wheels with ET streets (also for the corvette)

So I go to pick up the plasma cutter and hand over the other wheels.

So I got rid of 6 wheels/tires and got a plasma cutter. Kinda funny, a buddy of mine called me last week asking me about welders, and I told him my next "tool" was going to be a plasma cutter, but not for awhile (I'd priced them out already). He also told me that he has the controller and software for a CNC plasma table, so now we're going to build a table and set that up.

Oh, btw, the plasma cutter I got is a Lincoln Pro-cut 55. Got it home and did a few test cuts.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: cleaned out the garage....found a plasma cutter

It's max is 1", but recommended for up to 3/4". Either way, it's way more than I'll probably ever use.

Don't know what my first real job will be, since I have all the metal repair on my truck done (sure would have been nice when I was doing that.

I've been toying with the idea of buying a jeep, so I'm sure I could make some suspension pieces with it.

I have a Miller 625, By far the coolest tool I have ever owned, you will love it and wonder how you have done W/O it. Makes "loosening up" large bolts alot easier!!! They are so precise you can just cut them off flush and knock them out the back, leaves what they were holding nice, and cool...My next purchase will be a TIG Welder,
