NOS tailgate - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a NOS stepside tailgate with GM part number sticker still on it. I think it fits 54-87. I have posted it on craigslist for $300 and have recieved emails saying its to much. One guy even sent me a ad for a Brothers repop for $240. Is my NOS not worth anymore than a repop? Do they still sell new GM tailgates?

I think those are still available from GM. Let me look and see.
They're still available, the list price is 398.02 so as long as yours is in good shape you don't seem far off to me.

Mine is still new. Thank you very much for the info. I guess I will lower my price and see if it moves.

Is it GMC or Chevrolet?

They probably fit all those years, but the script can be different.

Any chance it looks like this?

They are now just reproduced, but NOS could be worth more.

Re-pops are no where near the quality of original. Tell that dude to buy one at Brothers then.

Northerngmc, It has the chevrolet script on it.
