Wanted: Windshield Molding Clips, 1971 1/2 Ton
I'm looking for a complete set of windshield molding clips, and I would also like to find a complete set for the rear window as well. I'm not sure of the proper name, but I need the clips that join the trim pieces in the rubber molding. Two of the rear window trim clips that came with the truck were damaged. I do not have any of the front windhield trim clips.
Wes

Most parts vendors carry those.
Brotherstrucks is one of them.

I checked brother's Truck and Truck and Car shop on-line, and did not see the clips. The truck and car shop had windshield moldings, but I did not see a listing for clips.
A source for the clips, new or used, would be appreciated.

Are you referring to the corner pieces and the one for the center that ties the trim together ? If so I have them and I can mail them to you. They are used but they may be able to be polished.

Sleeper truck, that is what I'm referring to. Used will work, I am just wanting to be able to put the windshield back in. Would you like me to send you a paypal?
Thank you, Wes

I will look for the rear window trim pieces. Im sure you know, get someone to help with the windshield. They can be a bear to put in. I may be headed to SoCal this weekend so I may be able to drop them off. I'll let you know.

Re: Wanted: Windshield Molding Clips, 1971 1/2 Ton
Sleepertruck, I planned on having my wife and son help with the windshield. The wife and I did the rear window, but I tweaked the midle clip.
The rear window we used on the 71 SWB was the original back window from my 72 C10. The previous owner of the 72 had a sliding window installed in 1973. He kept the original window, gasket and moldings in the sliding window's box. I even re-used the rubber gasket (hope it doesn't leak!) I do not have any of the clips for the front. I live in the San Fernando Valley right off the 5 fwy. You'd be more than welcome to stop by. I may have some odds and ends you need as well. Thanks again, Wes
