I have some. They sound just like flowmasters 40 series. Little different not much though.

Re: flow sound mufflers anyone have them? $27

Flowmaster let there patent expire on there 40 series and this company picked it up. That was the story I got from the muffler company. Cut aways of these mufflers look Identical

I believe I need a pair of those. The fried glass packs I have now are more like 2 inch straight pipes than mufflers.

They look like single chamber flowbastards to me. I have $15 Summit Turbos that sound and flow better than those.

Just my 2 cents....

a friend of mine put some "flowmaster super 40s" on his slightly warmed 93 350 with no cats 2 1/2" 3" after the mufflers no h or x pipe. i thought they were a little loud.i just ordered 2 1/4 flow sounds have x pipe and staying 2 1/4 all the way. nearly stock 350 small cam. i will know what it sounds like hopefully before summer is over lots of stuff to do yet

They are exactly the same as a 40 series flowmaster. I have seen cutaways of both side by side

Re: flow sound mufflers anyone have them? $27

as stated earlier, flowmaster lost the patent and now there are several companies making "clones" of the 40 series. i have the "cherrybomb" version on my 77 blazer and they sound the same as the 40's but were less expensive. since i work in a muffler shop i put a set on just to see how the sound compares. i will probably change them when something else comes out and we need a guinea pig for testing the sound.
i thought flowmaster would lower the price with all the competition but it went up instead of down.

Re: flow sound mufflers anyone have them? $27

After researching how they sounded for this thread, I couldn't stand it! I had new 2.5" duals with the 2 chamber Flowsounds put on my truck. I love 'em. Here's a little clip with my digital camera, although they sound much deeper in person than the camera is making them sound here. They should sound great on the new engine since they sound so good on this old tired, worn-out 350 (notice the puff of blue smoke start-up - the valve guides are shot). I'm running ram horns and the pipe is 2" coming off the manifold steeping up 2.5 directly. I may go with 2.5 ram horns when I put the new engine in this summer.
