external to internal regulation conversion question
quick question all: going to convert from external to internal regulation for my 69 using a guide + tips I found here. The question is: do I have to worry about 'overcharging' the battery if I convert?
Thanks |

Re: external to internal regulation conversion question
if you hook it up properly you wont have to worry about a thing. now if you hook it up like a one wire alternator like the po did to my truck thats another story. if you havent read this http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=119379 then i suggest you do, its how i rewired the harness for the alternator to stop overcharging.

Re: external to internal regulation conversion question
I assume this would not apply if you converted over to a 1 wire internal voltage regulator - if you converted to a 1 wire you can just cut the wire at the voltage regulator correct?
