Hangin' it up?

I could use some help from the die hard chevy/gmc restorers. I have had a love of these trucks since I bought my first in '73, a '72 Cheyenne Super (big block, bucket seats, side box, factory overloads, AM/FM, Tilt, Cruise). Everybody thought I was crazy for paying $3500 for a used truck. Here is E Texas nobody had ever seen a truck with bucket seats, LOL. I drove the wheels off that truck until '88, when a drunk cajun rear-ended me at a stop light in New Orleans. I towed her home with the hope of rebuilding, but it was not to be. I starting buying trucks that were running, then started buying nice trucks, always with the idea that one day I would make one of them "really nice".Other priorities have pushed this love to the bottom of the "to-do" list.

Thanks,

Papa Smurf

Re: Hangin' it up?

Well, sad to hear it but it happens to all of us at some time or another.

There still quite a bit of interest in parts for these trucks so you can start selling your stuff. My advice is to pay the forum $25, become a member and start posting your items in the parts or trucks for sale area. Great way to recoup your investment.

You'd probably have good luck getting rid of stuff here, be it parts or trucks. There seem to be a lot of members either from Texas or traveling through.

Good luck to you, and keep your favorite....you never know what the future may bring.

Re: Hangin' it up?

First....Welcome home from NC...this is a great board with LOTS of great members

Be sure to peruse the parts for sale board to get an idea of what things are selling for....and if you just can't make up your mind....post a WIW (what's it worth) ad and get some ideas from others....
Do know that you'll be shipping some items, so you might want to verify the easiest way for you to ship things and verify weights and costs as well....

BUT of course become a subscribing member first to enjoy these perks....

Re: Hangin' it up?

joining the board is cheap//problem with selling on it is having to deal with shipping for large stuff to people that are out of area// best i've found for local sales is craigslist or local pennysaver

Re: Hangin' it up?

This is going to turn into a FOR SALE thread.

So i am locking it.

Please go back and read the rules. You must be a paid subscriber to sell here.

If you bought the trucks and parts you already have some idea of how to sell.

Please consider becoming a Paid Subscriber. $25 well spent.

This is a great place to sell your trucks and parts.
