Lifted 1972 Chevy K10 show truck
Change the BIG wheels, front end and maybe the interior and I'd be all over it

Personally I can't stand it when tires look huge donuts rapped around a brake drum. Right now im trying to decide between 22's with 38's /20's w 38's or 22's w.40's. Anything less then a 20 just isnt an option for me when the tire is over 35".

Re: Lifted 1972 Chevy K10 show truck
I'm with Joe67, those wheels have to go. Waaay to big and ugly on top of it. A 4x4 is supposed to have some sidewall on it. Otherwise, a beautiful truck indeed!!!

Re: Lifted 1972 Chevy K10 show truck
Geeeeeeeeee...in my old age I would need a lift to get inside that truck. Thats why I have a lowered truck. Wait till you young guys get old and bald like me...you all will need a step ladder too. By the way...that is a nice truck.

Re: Lifted 1972 Chevy K10 show truck
That`s a nice truck.
I`m not hatin` the large frail looking rims with less sidewall look. It`s just that it makes no sense on a 4wd.It takes away from the added function added by 4wd.Also,for looks,it takes the classic right out of the picture and doesn`t look as muscular. On a 4wd it`s about the rubber and the wheel is just something to mount the tire on.On the street it`s about the wheels. There`s nice looking wheels for these trucks. But,playin`silly games with wheel diameters has no place off the street.Of course a show 4wd is a street truck more than an offroad one. But,even for looks I like to see what would enhance function in nice form on a 4wd.It doesn`t have anything to do with "schools",unless it`s 2wd school vs 4wd school. There are new style rims made in proper diameters for off road to suit everyone`s taste.Guys that like big rims and air bags don`t like the even larger rim donk cars for various reasons. Both styles are new school and street.I think the difference here is street vs offroad. Some street style just doesn`t carry over for offroad where a level of function is key,for actual use or looks.

Are we sure that is a 72? Looks like the rear view mirror is screwed to the cab roof.

The truck is awesome...
Why the stereo monitor in the passenger door? Playing the radio from the ground?

Re: Lifted 1972 Chevy K10 show truck
I guess I am a old fart but I like the factory look. But I really have to appreciate the amount of work that someone put into this truck. I think its awsome its just not my style.

Re: Lifted 1972 Chevy K10 show truck
Nice truck!
The wheels aren't that bad and if you read the article they are off road tires or half & half really. I think it shows what money can do for one of our trucks. I wish I could send mine out and say here do this to it, don't cut no corners and money isn't a concern send me the bill when done!
