Re: PB weld in notch

TDS thanks for the reply

As far as how big? well ??? measuring from the bottom side of the frame to the bottom side of the notch its just short of 11”. This is the porterbuilt weld in notch and he makes it "long" so you can cut it down if you want or you can drop it in as is like I did. I’m going for Laid out on 22” rear wheels and I figured better safe then sorry I don’t want to have to do it again

Re: PB weld in notch

I have to say this piece from porterbuilt makes it easy and I didn’t do the welding a buddy of mine who lives just up the street is helping me out. He tried to get me to do some of it but I don’t want to have to worry about it when I’m doing 75 on the freeway. We didn’t get much done today but we did get the first part of the bridge welded in.

Re: PB weld in notch

Oh sure, throw pics up and don't give details. Tell us about the new hotrods in the background.
Looks like a 64 SS and a 79 two tone have joined the party.

Re: PB weld in notch

For all of you that were watching I apologize for leavening you hanging. I ran into some delays the biggest one was me not making up my mind on how I wanted to set the rear end up. Once I had solid plan I had to find some one who could help me do some good looking bends in round tube (thanks again Nate) and I had to order a lot more parts to get this thing rolling again. On a side note: My dad was moving my bed to storage and It fell off the trailer on the freeway it did a lot of damage to my almost perfect bed but thank god no one hit it and got hurt or even worse killed

As for the 64ss it’s the wife car, and I’m not allowed to “customize” it I have been wearing her down for almost nine years now and I think see is about to give.

The 79 belongs to the same guy how owns the 65 he has been helping me with my truck and a lot of other folks with their rides so he hasn’t had much time for his. But he’s got a pile of parts for it and just scored an LS6
