I think the green truck is nearly un-repairable(IMO), it came with a super solid 4x4 tub to put on the 2wd chassis. My plan at this point is to prolly put front and rear suspension from my '67 frame(drop spindles new everything & rebuilt 3:73 diff) in this chassis to lower it, new it, and I really like 6 bolt 8" rally wheels(4x4) that I'm gonna put corvette center caps on. I usually change plans with my ginch, so we'll see what tomorrows pair say.

Here's a pile'o'pics of the tub going on the 2wd chassis; gaps, rocker boxes etc. now that it's cleaned out and I can see it. It looks square and solid enough to me to cut the outer rockers off and replace them. None of the surface rust under it is bad enough to even pit the metal!

It may look solid - but you may want to brace it up - just to be certain - nobody likes to do the work twice -

Nice looking project - seems that there have been many 2wd Blazers popping up around here lately.

Believe me, I've been putting off blowing this truck apart 'cause it is the original steel, but the only reasonably solid part was the w/shield frame and dash; I cut them off and kept 'em! To repair the body would have been a box floor, cab floor, rockers, boxes, kick's, wheel houses, box sides etc etc(should've seen that thing fold up anywhere I grabbed it). Now to strip the frame, clean it and re-assemble with 4" drop springs in rear, 2 1/2" spindles-I'll decide how much front spring once the weight is back on the chassis. I have a rebuilt 3:73 diff but it's 6-bolt as are my rotors(these parts were for a '67 short box I started), I'd like to use 6-bolt rallies as the bigger slots look more pronounced to me but I'm concerned about the difference in track width front to rear. The truck will be a similar green with green int, not sure on roof color yet but I've picked a nice Mercedes green pearl. The 350 that's in it seems smooth and strong, I have an un-assembled vortec 350, but... It also gets a 700r4 but basically stays pretty stock in and out. I'd sure like to find out how many of these are in Canada, I've been told that mine makes 5 known in Alberta but nothings verified.

Sounds like a nice build. I'm a green freak, so you have my vote on the color combo. I like the 4sd auto also. I will do that someday. I'm still in the air about the differences between 700 and 200...Sounds like you will be the only one up your way with a sweet low rider though.

Sadly, no. Collected some parts, made some decisions and have done some work for a local upholstry gu-ru in exchange for future work; full top headliner, gonna cover factory door panels, kick panels and make rears from patterns from the factory ones I have.Biggest move to date is getting a job vs self employ and I get my shop back(eventually), still debating color....
