BB Motor mounts & Frame mounts

I found a set of frame mounts on sale from Brothers for a BB in a 68 and was wondering if any one has them installed on their truck. Do they mount the engine in the same location as the original factory mounts do? I already have a new set of frame and engine mounts installed now that I got a couple of years back, but I am concerned if one of the engine mounts break, will I be able to find replacements. They weren't easy to find. I have the trans mount located and installed, the drive shaft has been cut to lenght and installed, so the location of the engine needs to remain the same.

Re: BB Motor mounts & Frame mounts

I have a set of factory 72 bbc engine mounts for sale if you are interested. They bolt right up and are a stronger design than the saddle-type mounts used from 68-71.

The ones from brothers are aftermarket, and I am not sure if they will bolt into the factory frame holes. Based on my prior experiences with aftermarket mounts, I would say that they do not. I am sure someone else will chime in to verify this.

Re: BB Motor mounts & Frame mounts

If you are using the factory saddle-type mounts now, yes these will keep it in the same location.
