Question what is protectoplate?

What does it mean when a truck is being sold and has protectoplate?

Re: what is protectoplate?

From the dealer, each vehicle sold had a small metal plate, aka a protecto plate, provided at the time of sale, along with the Owner's manual and other dealer literature. It was embossed with the vitals of the truck, like the VIN, model number, etc. and the original owner's information. It is a nice piece of original documentation.
