fuseable link question

My fuseable link keeps blowing. Sometimes it will go days, other times only a few minutes before blowing. I have checked for a short and didn't find one. Put on new voltage regulator, alternator too. I switched from 6 cyl to 454 and was wondering about the resistor wire to the dist. Also the purple (or blue, I am colorblind) wire to the starter is not hooked up. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!
