Parts Identification Please (w/pics)

Ok Guys heres a part here that I have never seen before and I do believe this to come from the factory.
The first 3 pics are of a spring retainer that I found in a 1968 3/4 ton a.c. cab. It was mounted with that screw behind the passenger door where the the gas tank is. there was actually a circular indentation in the cab where the screw was mounted underneath the striker plate, I was thinkin maybe it was to hold a fire extinguisher????
The 4th pic I know is transmission linkage but is it to an automatic with column shift or standard transmission linkage?? theres an "L" on this piece also
Thanks guys
MIke

Re: Parts Identification Please (w/pics)

No pic, but that spring you describe is to hold the tire changing tool bag in place so it doesn't rattle. 67 was the only year the tools were stowed under the seat with a floor mounted sping to hold them from sliding
