Guage cluster questions

Eventually i'm going to take my cluster out and paint the needles and all of that stuff. I'm wondering that if I use red leds will it show up like a late model Trans-am cluster with the guage hash marks showing up pure red, or do the guages have a greenish tint that will filter the light? And which one of these bulb types would I want to use? http://v-leds.com/194-168-158-LED/Re...orLanding/true
And which are dimmable

The plastic surrounding the gauges is green, so it might make for a weird color when used with the red LED's. I've looked at the LED's that are available and I'd probably go with the simplest one's to start with. Just my opinion, but you probably don't want the dash lights TOO bright. The only thing that worries me about converting to LED's is how well do they dim? Of all the listings I've looked at, I've yet to see one that says how well they work on a dimmer. As you reduce the power, they must dim some, but I doubt if they do it as smoothly as an incandescent bulb.
