Pictures of gauges installed in engine compartment.
I'm thinking of installing an oil pressure & water temp gauge in my engine compartment. The reason is I only have idiot lights now, and plan on upgrading later & I really need to watch them during my engine break in.
I'm not too crazy abut running the wires to get them mounted inside. So anyone have pictures of how you mounted them? Thanks, s/t PS I'm open to other ideas if you have any.

I here ya Sport. I don't have pics but I bought a cheap trio and screwed them to a piece of wood and hung it from the top of the firewall to watch during my breakin. Worked like a charm.

I installed a water temp gauge from Mooneyes. It comes with the thermostat housing. I was having cooling issues and that gave me a backup reading, plus I love the way it looks...

That's a neat old hot rod thing to do. They would mount the water temp in the firewall. I guess they spent so much time working and tuning their flatheads, they just moved them so they could see while tinkering.

Honestly I don't know, it was on when I bought the truck. The truck is a '70 with a 350, I assumed it was stock.
