Re: Scotts Hotrods- 12" brakes/rear discs Group Buy- Till April 30

Your saying that the 12" rear disk brake kit is $600, what does that include? I am going to convert my rear drums to disks so this is a great opportunity for me. I've got a 69 C10 swb fleetside with a 12 bolt rearend.

Re: Scotts Hotrods- 12" brakes/rear discs Group Buy- Till April 30

hey sorry guys, I am out of town at the Del Mar Good Guys show. I'll get you all up to speed on Monday.

As far as what the kits come with, I'll need to look when I get back, but they are complete kits. I don't know how the track is effected on the front kit, but I suspect it may push it out about 1/4" per side.

Thanx I was hoping you would have an air bag special to go with the drop spindles so I could take in apart just once...I don't have any time with work and all

Now go walk the dog.................

Okay, the big front kit actually is built around the drop spindle, and brings the wheels in a 1/2 total.

Yes, the rear is a complete kit

here is a link to some pictures. It is the first kit, and the second kit. The rear kit is the dynalite caliper, not the superlite.

These pics show the upgraded drilled and slotted rotors that is not included in the price.

How much would it be for both the front and rear kits together? Both with red calipers and drilled rotors, if you have them. These don't include the booster and m/c for 4 wheel disks do they?

the front kit is 2k at the discount price and that includes drilled rotors, and you will need the drop spindles at $250.00. The rear kit is $600 at the discount price, for drilled rear rotors add $80.00. No it does not include the master cylinder/booster. If you need that, drop me a PM and I'll get you a price.

I do, and we have them in several configurations.

If you are running a 15" wheel, There is a brand new Wilwood kit (released this morning) that uses a 11" rotor instead of a 12" rotor so you can fit a 15" rim. it retails at $567.00 for a plain kit. The standard 12" kit starts at $687.00 for a plain kit

My price will be better on both of those for you guys.

It will be running a minimum of 17" wheels. Clearance isn't really an issue, since the front has a 12.2" rotor and 6 piston calipers. I just want something similar for the back with plain rotors (I am trying to have them engraved) that aren't bigger than the front.

If I get the 5 people on board for the group buy, then I can lump this kit in with it and get you the standard 12" rear kit with internal parking brake for $630.00

Re: Scotts Hotrods- 12" brakes/rear discs Group Buy- Till April 30

I would like to find out how much a complete kit for the front and rear would be, 11" or 12" rotors. And do these kits come with the booster and m/c for disk/disk setup? Thanks

Not sure to be honest, but I would assume no. I would think you would need to either get a disc/disc prop block, or get an adjustable prop valve.

But that all depends on the bore and capacity of your current m/c

Can you use this rear kit if you have power brakes disc in the front and drum in the rear or would you need to go manual all the way around? Also do the wilwood manual kits perform better than the stock power discs in the front with a power rear disc conversion?
