Re: took my grill off and discovered diff. fender
i believe its the other way around...the passanger is your 67-8 style chevy and 67-72 gmc fender. and the drivers side is your 69-72 chevy only fender.

Yes your drivers side fender is wrong . It is for a 69-72 chevy .

Re: took my grill off and discovered diff. fender
If he has a '69 isn't the passenger side, 67-68 wrong? That's why the hood fits the Driver's side.

Re: took my grill off and discovered diff. fender
GMC's are odd on the front fenders they used the same style as the 67-68 chevys for all years the only change was the addition of the side marker lights. The GMC's had the crome top bar to fill in the void when GM changed the length of hoods. The 69-72 chevy fenders were different than GMC allowing the hood to sit flush with the grill without the top bar spacer. Just one of those little things that were different on GMC's

Re: took my grill off and discovered diff. fender
No, hood is fine. GMC made up the difference in hoods with the grill trim pieces.
