Where can I find out what my truck is worth

It's a 1978 GMC 1 ton dually 4x4 Camper Special. I have the original papers including bill of sale.
Thanks

First off it is beautiful... awesome dually!

Secondly... I would have it appraised to determine the value as each person on the board will provide you with a different value they think it's worth.

Just my $.02...

Re: Where can I find out what my truck is worth

Thanks......I've put many more thousands of $$$$ into it since these pics
I was told that there was a site that could provide info ie; How many were sold , how rare they are now, what their value is etc. I have searched but can't even find a 78 1 ton dually 4x4, never mind a site that provides info.
If anyone can lead me to such a site I would appreciate it.....
Thanks again

Have you tried KBB (Kelly Blue Book) or NADA?

Hopefully someone else will recall the site you are looking for.

Re: Where can I find out what my truck is worth

yea, that is a sweet rig.are you looking to sell it?i think appraisal, like nate said is a good idea for insurance reasons.but,i don't know for selling price.things don't seem to sell at appaised prices.i also think that trucks condition may not be reflected in a book value.ebay is a good indicator of what stuff goes for in the real world.but that's such a unique truck i think it will be hard to find a value.i guess what someone is willing to pay for it.i'd think twice about parting way's with it.you'd have a hard time finding one like it.

Re: Where can I find out what my truck is worth

Thanks for the info guys.
I'm just the wife looking for the info hubby asked me to find for him.
NADA sez it's worth less than the new tires he just put on it, so I would agree with...."it's worth what someone is willing to pay". I will suggest that he gets it appraised.
As far as it being for sale....he always sez "everything is for sale except you. " LOL. Funny....... I haven't heard him say that since he's owned this truck tho

Great looking truck. Probably has a story to tell. If it is a 78, some parts have been changed. The truck pictured has the 79/later gas tank doors and the trim line across the front of hood. The camper special package would have included the extended mirrors with the larger mounts.

Yes.....The parts you mention were on it when we bought it. We haven't done any body work to it yet, but that is the next project and will be REAL HAPPY when that after market hood is gone
We have the original mirrors, but they are not going back on.

Re: Where can I find out what my truck is worth

I have always wondered about this...how can they can it a 4X4 when it has 6 wheels?

Very nice truck. Wish my dually looked that good.

Re: Where can I find out what my truck is worth

I could not begin to put a price on this awsome truck, but I would get rid of that glass fuel filter that you have. They are nothing but a fire hazzard. I would hate to see such a beautiful truck burnt beacause of a $5.00 fuel filter. Just my .02.
That is an awsome rare truck you have.
