Re: Tires hitting blower motor...Help..

You can section the box, but then the fan will be too wide. We sectioned an old fan and made it about 1.5" narrower on my 82 Blazer.

Re: Tires hitting blower motor...Help..

yeah he's right thats about the only way plus use a very low profile tire. other than that it would have to come out. if you really absolutely want to keep it you might want to down size to a 20" in front.

Re: Tires hitting blower motor...Help..

or you could check out the vintage air website they have stuff that will elminate the location of the blower motor and heater core and relocate it under the dash. thats my plan on my 86 gmc. its bagged and body dropped plan on rolling with 24" with 30 series tires cuz if i go bigger i would have to cut and tub the firewall.

Yes, he could and I assume that he knows this. But that's not what he asked...

Did you not see the smiley Ken posted? Being you are new here, you obviously don't know Ken very well. Sit back, read, learn, observe...and you'll understand we are a tight knit group of guys all willing to help each other out.

I agree, and we both know what assuming leads to, but he posted "im not getting rid of it."

Regardless, your input is appreciated, and not taken out of context. With what your doing to your truck, you might appreciate our suspension forum. Tons of good stuff in there if you haven't checked it out yet.

Hey Karichey22, keep your 22s but you still need to modify your blower kinda like this, I'm in the process of building 1 like it, I'll keep you guys posted. in the meantime here are some pics. this is from chris's truck of crime pays video...

that is a 29.5 inch tire. Don't know why the pics came out sideways but if someone could flip them. Hope this helps....

Re: Tires hitting blower motor...Help..

I don't know how low you are going, but my dually runs 22s in front and the front cross member sits on the ground when aired out and to get somemore room we moved the whole blower box up about 1-1/2" on the fire wall and remounted it and it worked out great!
