Got the Front Clip Off
I started the tear down of my 70. I got the front clip off and I think the frame looks good. There doesn't appear to be much rust at all. The passenger fender, inner fender and core support are toast. The PO had a leaking battery and the acid rotted out huge chunks.
This is why I love CA cars. The rockers appear to be solid as well as the cab floor. (From what I can see) This is appears to be the worst part and in the other pic you see holes where the PO drilled in some "aftermarket" side view mirrors. |

Re: Got the Front Clip Off
Looks like new !, but I am from Iowa ! Battery will get the support and inner fender even in California. I like a nice sealed Delco battery after fixup, no more rotting from the battery. I wish they all could be Caifornia trucks !
