350turbo to a 700r4 in a 86 pick
do i need to change my cross member to had a 700r4? in my 86 2wd pick up?

No you just have to relocate it. There should already be a set of holes there to remount it in the correct location.

No prob. You will need a new drive shaft too, or have yours shortened.

http://transmissioncenter.net/700R4_Swap_Info.htm Your 86 has holes for the 700R4. If ya need a crossmember give me a shout. I have one collecting dust in the garage. I think it's the same as the 350th. It should have a over and under route of the exhaust pipe. |

If I remember correctly, the driverside is under and passenger is over.

My 84 is done that way but in reverse. However it currently has the TH350 in it. I thought it was a hacked up exhaust job. Didn't know that they actually went one under and one through.
