Factory aluminum mounting wedge for factory power brake booster assembly for '60-'66 Chevy truck. This is the mounting wedge for the horizontal bracket power brake booster. Also includes three countersink phillips head machine screws for mounting to firewall and four bolts for mounting power booster to mounting wedge.

The mounting wedge and the mounting hardware is $75.00, including packaging & shipping.

Do you know if this will work to mount a late model hydro boost?

This wedge is the piece required to properly mount the factory power brake booster with the horizontal mounting brackets on the '63-'66 Chevy trucks. It may also work for the '60-'62, but I am not sure. I don't think this is compatible with the late model Hydro-Boost, since it is specific to the '63-'66 Chevy truck factory power brake booster.

Just to let you know you can get a new booster from O'reileys auto parts. They are like 96 bucks plus core and they are for the 4-5-6. I used one on the set up i got off the wrecked truck, was 100% the same, mounted and worked great.

Can you post a picture? I have seen many of the aftermarket power brake boosters, but they weren't quite an exact reproduction.

Also, do they include the horizontal mounting brackets like the original equipment? I just bought one the other day and it didn't include the horizontal mounting brackets and it wasn't quite an exact match, but fairly close.

my hydraboost mounted in the same holes as the orig non p/brake m/c mounting holes. mine would have been out of a 75-76 suburban

This bracket is for the factory power brake booster assembly on the '60-'66 Chevy/GMC trucks. It is not correct for other years and will not work on later year power brake boosters or mounting brackets. It is used for factory power brake booster assemblies. Here are a few pictures of the installed unit.

If you are wanting to stay with the factory power brake assembly, this is the factory mounting wedge that is used to mount the factory power brake booster and horizontal mounting brackets.

Good morning and thanks for the inquiry. I do sell the complete factory power brake assembly, including the wedge, rod, hardware, brackets, booster with vacuum check and master. It is $350.00, plus $20.00 packaging & shipping, via UPS or FedEx-Ground.

The firewall is dimpled for the third hole, that holds the mounting wedge to the firewall. This hole must be drilled and backed with a nut, the pedal rod installed and adjusted and a vacuum line picked up off the intake. You don't have to use the master cylinder that is included. If you use yours, you don't even remove the brake line from the mc, just unbolt it from the firewall and bolt it to the face of the booster...no bleeding required.

TONY, sorry it took so long to get back to you on this. The new booster i got from the parts store was the booster only. There was no additional brakets with this booster but the look and fit of the new one was spot on. I'll get a pic as soon as i can.

I was checking on this stuff when i thought I was getting a "new" truck...and that didn't work out...

Right on. I hope all is well. I have been trying to climb out, since I was out on business for almost two weeks and when I got back in town I moved. I am also trying to get my house ready to put on the market, so my truck stuff has taken 2nd seat to the other things, but it is good to be back.
