Re: Nos fenders on ebay

I bid on both of them, but the reserve was not met at $200.00, so I have to let them go, but I bet they go for over $500.00 each. I have seen them go for $700.00 each for NOS GM front fenders. Hopefully someone will get them and put them to good use. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Nos fenders on ebay

that is a bit steep for fenders, but nos parts really get expensive when they are discontinued.i have a set of nos front fenders, nos rocker panels, nos fleetside tailgate, nos side chrome for short fleetside, and other smaller parts that i bought back in the late 80's.i really think they are too nice to put on anything except for a 100 point show truck restoration.if i build another truck it will be just a good looking driver quality truck.in other words they are too nice for me to use on what trucks i have.

That's ridiculous.

Re: Nos fenders on ebay

Considering the cost of the reproduction front fenders, plus the cost to get them to fit correctly, it is worth the cost. The pinch weld along the front nose of the reproduction front fenders is wide enough to see daylight through the seam.

The sell price is only ridiculous if you have more time and skills to fix or repair old fenders or the reproduction units, because they all need the attention of a good bodyman to get them good enough to compare favorably with the NOS front fenders. I have seen them for over $800.00 per fender, so $710.00 isn't so bad.

Re: Nos fenders on ebay

I'll take a hammer and a dolly over spending that much for a fender any day. Of course I'm a cheap ass and will find any way to get my results at a cheaper cost. To each his own I guess.
