Eastwoods Chassis Black. That's what I used on mine and it came out very nice. I got the kit where there were 3 stages but you really don't need it if your frame is nice and clean. Comes in satin and gloss.

Re: Best paint??
If it is going to be a daily driver, I would suggest going to a tractor supply store or its MI equizalent and get some black tractor/implement paint. It is cheap (about $20/gallon), will stick to anything (grease and grime...also exposed skin and hair LOL) and it looks pretty good on a DD.

Re: Best paint??
Best paint? Better question is what kind of prep are you going to do before you paint? That will determine which product is the best to use for the job.

Re: Best paint??
Hi Clint,
I epoxy primered mine, then used GM Reconditioning Paint: I don't believe GM makes it anymore, but you can still find it around. I picked it up on Ebay. Just checked...do a search on Ebay for: gm reconditioning paint There's a gallon can available. I used a cheapo harbor freight spray gun and it sprayed very well.

Re: Best paint??
Most Black Epoxy products will dry to a nice satin finish and work well on chassis components because generally they can go over bare metal, are pretty durable, and also stick very well, which is good because you can't possible sand every nook and cranny on a frame.

Re: Best paint??
thats gms chassis black. nason makes some that is a little over $30 a gallon and it is ready to spray. if you take your time and clean the frame good, any inexpensive paint will look great. and actually unless you are dragging it over tree branches, frames dont get much abuse. all your rocks and stuff hit the fenderwells. so as long as you coat it good, durability isnt an issue.
