Drop kit installed, pulled mirrors, and bumper (pics)

Got my belltech kit installed yesterday, removed the mirrors, and ditched my old bumper. Im going to order the LMC bolt on roll pan with the lic. space unless someone can suggest a nicer one. (also need to cut my exhaust down to size)

ordered my wheels. Hope they get here this week!

My guess would be he had a cowboy bumper on there. they sit low and those pipes would look right with it on. Thats what happend to me.

I would remove just the rams on the front bumper and get a sport for the rear. it looks alot better than a roll pan.

Great start, Its looking good.

So you went with the same wheels I have on mine. Or did you go with chrome? Post up some pics when you get them.

are you going to keep the clearance lights? they look good and nobody ever keeps them on lowered trucks so it would be different

orange-- i going with your wheels. the whitewall look i was contemplating might not have worked with this truck. the mb's are the best looking rim i have found. put a deposit on them to order em. we'll see once they are on it.

I actually think the front bumper looks good on there. I definetly go with a rear bumper instead of a roll pan, too.

this is the sport bumper (only pic i have), they come stock on "some" trucks, and all burbs/blazers

you really need one of these rear bumpers, loose the front bumper guards, and ditch the cab lights....looks good though man, coming alone good

takes awhile to take the "pappy" out of some of these old trucks

yea LMC has them , also captkaos has them on his site or you could source them from a salvage yard. but the brackets are different from burbs and blazers.

If the front bumper is still in good shape, then all you have to do is unbolt the rams/horns/guards and replace with shorter bolts.

hope that helps.

looks good, the drop looks right and front will settle a more, I would go like mentioned with the sport bumper, and keep the chrome smoothie wheels

The sport rear bumper is a far better look. It doesnt make the truck look un ballanced from only haveing the front bumper. Truck with only the front bumper look really light in back. I also say run the smoothies. They look hot with your truck! I think it looks like somebody took grandpa's truck and brought it to the modern era. Good looking rig.

Ps: If you want to donate the bumper guards and/or the smooth wheel caps I will give you my address to send them out to.

The drop looks good man. I agree with others I like the sport bumper over the roll pan if you have a front bumper on it. Only way I like the roll pan on these trucks is if you put the front roll pan on it as well.

Re: Drop kit installed, pulled mirrors, and bumper (pics)

im going to do the steel roll pan from LMC...i dont now, i just think the bumper sticks out too much. If it does look funny i can always change it. I like that lighted bumper they have for the front too. anyone use one of their bed mats?

Re: Drop kit installed, pulled mirrors, and bumper (pics)

on the sport bumper you modify the brackets and bring closer to the bed which looks a lot better

Re: Drop kit installed, pulled mirrors, and bumper (pics)

You can put a standard radio jack on a magnetic CB antenna and use it on your radio. At least it works on mine, I plant it on top of the cab in the middle but I guess you could put it anywhere there's iron.

yeah needs two doors, two cab corners, and a little straightening and she should be solid. low miles and very little rust. I am ditching the lights and the antenna, no worries on that!
