No gauge lights!!!!

Driving home tonight and hit a bump and my headlights flashed off and came back on but my gauge lights went off and didn't come back on. Haven't been able to check it out yet. I messed with the dimmer switch, the voltage regulator and the plug going into the back of the dash but I couldn't get it to work.

Any Ideas at what it could be.

Re: No gauge lights!!!!

I believe that your saying you messed with the plug to your dash/gages. I would look at your headlight switch plug, sounds like maybe it shook loose or has a little corrosion. Pull it off and back on a few times should solve your problem...

Re: No gauge lights!!!!

it working and I looked forever for a cause. I replaced the headlight switch and they work fine now. The reostat that controls the brightness went bad.
