Butternut yellow/white truck?. Any pics?

Time to paint my truck. Original color is dark blue. I like the worn out look but I think it needs a new look.

Choices are: 1) Buttermilk yellow/white 2) Hugger orange/white or 3) Dark blue/White. Leaning toward yellow (white/yellow/white). Any pics would help.

Re: Butternut yellow/white truck?. Any pics?

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Initially, I had planned on keeping it original and just driving it. But as time passed the thought of repainting it continued to enter my mind. Painting it blue/white was my original intention, but after thinking about it I remember seeing a yellow/white Cheyenne at Pomona last year. That truck was pretty awesome...and I recall the yellow looking much better in person than in a pic. Don't get me wrong, I love the blue but there seems to be so many of them out there I wanted to do something different.
I know it's a great color. I could regret it later. For now...I'll continue to ponder the idea of painting it yellow...or orange...or blue.

Anyone else have pics of their butternut yellow truck?

Re: Butternut yellow/white truck?. Any pics?

Was the color Hart Rod showed (Grapefruit) the one you want?I pictured Ochre because it`s the color of butternut squash. As generic color names go,I`d call Grapefruit more of a maize or lemon chiffon.
So,was that the color?Trucks look great that color.I like all factory colors and repaint trucks to their original color unless it`s a ground-up,built from assorted trucks,or total custom job.

Here's a shot of the Ochre color, and this truck is a fellow board members (Puropedo). I think this is the color that special-k and I were thinking. Now this is a great looking color! There again.... his is original.

Just kidding... whatever you decide to do, I know it will look good.

I say leave it alone, but if you paint I say paint it the same color it already is.
Don't see alot of the blue/white tri-tone. If i may ask what is your tire / wheel sizes that you are running? What about the drop specs ? Looks and sits like mine and was just wondering.
Thanks

Re: Butternut yellow/white truck?. Any pics?

The Ochre or mustard yellow paint does grow on you. I've had two trucks with Ochre as the factory original paint job. I've been considering staying with the original Ochre on my truck and doing a white two-tone paint scheme myself, when I get around to a new paintjob. I really like the look of a white cab roof.

I threw in a pic of my truck in the original Ochre (its faded but original patina).

This is a board members truck and I hope he don't mind me posting his pic, but this is a color that I really like. I like this or the 'carolina blue' and white. Name: DSC00034%5B1%5D.jpg

This is a Camaro with the Butternut paint. The '67 Camaro paint code was YY, not sure if that translates to trucks....

Re: Butternut yellow/white truck?. Any pics?

The truck looks good with the colors you have but I am more of a blue person than yellow. just my .02

The only question I would raise is what do you plan on doing under the hood?
If its already blue in the engine bay do you plan on repainting that as well. Also if the interior is blue. just a thought.
