pissed

Ordered my rims from discount tire last monday, wait 4 days for them to get here, they arrive, drive 1/2 an hour each way today on an extended lunch break, and they are the WRONG bolt pattern. now i have to wait until next week. I told them to 2nd day air them which they agreed, and then they called me and said they would knock $100 off if i could wait til tuesday. Told them yes but i should have told them to knock $200 off.

Re: pissed

If it was thier Boo Boo, then yeah a few hundred off and they should have them overnighted. A mistake like that isn't something you should have to suffer through. Call the store manager, his salary is dependant on the store's numbers per month,, if he isn't overly helpful, call the area manager, or corporate, you may get a WAY better deal than you thought possible. Do not "settle" for what the salesman offers, he is trying to appease you without the store manager finding out he goofed (I was an assistant manager for a few years with Discount), so I know the games they play, and mistakes happen, but he should have made it right on your terms not his.

Re: pissed

Bummer...but it sounds like they are trying to make things right. I have always had good luck with my local branch here.

Re: pissed

Thats a good compromise for both parties. You get $100.00 back for being patient. They salvage a minimal profit margin. I would guess either overnight or 2nd day would be $60.00-$90.00 per wheel which would have been a high price for a mistake.

Re: pissed

I had no issues when I ordered mine from Discounttiredirect.com They came shipped to my door. Everything ready to bolt on. Sorry you are having issues. They usually work things out.
