Hello all! Been away for a long while (life got in the way) Changed jobs, releived a LOT of stress...and got some new goodies. Most of you know redneckgirls blue truck, well, now it should run as good as it looks! Put a new engine in starting last fall and finished last week. Here are some pictures, I hope you all like it!

looks good Bob.
Even though Bob's pics don't quite show it, the truck moves around under it's own power now... open headers, but it moves!

Re: No more small block!!

True! The exhaust pipes are just stuck in the end of the headers! It is going Saturday (weather permitting) to weld the exhaust flanges on and tinker with the timing some before I cut her loose in it to terrorize Harford County...lol

Re: No more small block!!

Thanks guys! It was a lot more work than I anticipated. Had to put the 73-87 motor mounts in, shorten the driveshaft by an inch( still haven't figured that one out...) among other things, but it runs really good. I suppose it was worth it...lol

Re: No more small block!!

Sweet! Does the hood close with the blower and an air cleaner on it and do the tall valve covers fit without hitting the firewall? I've got a 6-71 blower that I want to put on my 402, but its the money thing right now. Your truck looks awesome! Is it worth it?

Re: No more small block!!

Isn't a blown 454 a little excessive, Bob?

Looks great! Like the old saying goes, there is no replacement for displacement!
