Brake Rotor recommendations
Gotta buy some new rotors. The "dope smokin' old man" I recently bought it from drove it so long with crappy pads it looks like the groove in the rotor is a good 1/16-1/8 of an inch deep. Are there differences in rotors? Any suggestions where to buy them and what to stay away from? Are AC/Delco parts (all their parts) american made or Chinese junk? Price is not an issue for me when it comes to brake component parts. What do you think? Thanks!

factory rotors had a center groove.... just pointing that out in case you didn't know....

If price is not an issue then go with the cross drilled rotors!

I would get some cross drilled ones . But they will just crack with my luck !

After a lot of researching I finially decided on Praise Dyno's stage 2 brake kit. I'm still a long ways away from getting the truck on the road so I can't give any first hand experience on how well the brakes actually work. They claim a 30% increase in braking over stock hardware and double the lifespan. They seem like a very good outfit to do business with and the parts seem to be of good quality. Everything went together like OEM. Worth taking a look at anyway. Good Luck....Stroker

Early Classic Enterprises uses AC/Delco components in their kits to convert drums to discs. I have them on my '69, and I'm happy with them. I am sure ECE had ample opportunity to do business with other suppliers who would have sold them aftermarket rotors at a lower price than the AC/Delco lstuff, but they did the right thing, as far as I am concerned.
