Finally got all the parts and machine work done to assemble my
motor. Then the Hot Rod Gremlins show up. Cam bearings won't fit [Little "M"]. Call Jeg's. They send 1 bearing. Call Jeg's. They say "sorry" it's shown as a set. They send remaining bearings overnight and eat the freight. Good service. Cam bearings won't fit. Call Dart [brilliant]. They tell me my bearings are oversize and give me the correct part #. Call Reher-Morrison, they're just across town, they have them $60.00. Finally resume assembly. Gasket kit has 2 front seals and no rear. Off to Autozone. Discover crack in SuperDamper. Call ATI. Order new hub $124.00. Better now than later. Continue assembly. Ever thing is smooth UNTIL a pushrod slips and slides down into the valley under the intake. OK guy's tell me again. Why do we do this. |
