Aftermarket grills for a 72 gmc c-10
I'm hopefully going to be the new owner of a 72 GMC Shortbed Fleetside tomorrow.
Now (and GMC owners please DON'T take offence), but I'm "Not Feeling" the OEM Chrome Grill that these came with. I'm wondering what type of Aftermarket Grills they make for this year? If anyone has pictures of what they're running on THEIRS, if you could post pictures here or send them Privatley to: WWOTR@MCHSI.COM I'd REALLY appreciate it. Pictures.Links, websites, Catalogs. What I'm especiaslly looking for is a Billet type that is CHROME. (something that DOESN'T have to be Polished/Rubbed out). A Chrome Billet type. So I'll be looking on my end, and if anyone can help me here, that would be appreciated too! Roger Last edited by wwotr; 04-11-2009 at 11:03 PM. |

Re: Aftermarket grills for a 72 gmc c-10
They just make aftermarket GMC grilles because they`re so darned cool.
I`d buy a Chevy if I didn`t like the GMC grille.Plenty more of them to choose from, that`s for sure. If you must, you`ll have to swap over to a Chevy grille and sell me your grille for cheap.

Re: Aftermarket grills for a 72 gmc c-10
Agreed.
I like the Chevy grill better also. Maybe I should have clarified, I was looking for a "Grille Insert". I thought I saw a Billet Aluminum one. Just the insert with no need to change the front clip ect. Roger Last edited by wwotr; 04-11-2009 at 11:20 PM. |

OK,I know what you mean. Those came out in the last year. The billet bars like what`s made for the 67/68s and 69/70s,right?Just the one style is all I`ve seen so far.My`72`s previous owner "air stapled" bug screen which left snake bites all around a perect grille...ARGH!!! i wonder whay that spped grille material would look like. You know, the mesh that is in later custom grilles?

Is there an e-mail address that anyone may have for LMC Motors?

You can download their catalog online and check out pictures of the grilles they have available. The catalog is available in .pdf format to download or through mail via the online order form. It is free.

Re: Aftermarket grills for a 72 gmc c-10
Yes they do have aftermarket grilles in both LMC truck and Brothers but IMO they are all ugly as hell. if they would come out with a billet grille simillar to the aftermarket ones for chevy's where its just the center piece ill be the first one in line. but since the GMC grille is just one big piece i dont see that happening soon. mine is in decent shape and i really like the way the GMC grille looks so ill probably just shine it up a bit and leave it. moral of the post: yes they make them but not the insert type

OK.
Lets attack this from another veiwpoint. Does anyone have (or know someone) that has an aftermarket Grille on their GMC that can either send me (privatley) or post here, some pictures of "said Grille"? Roger

I wish that truck was mine. Naw, it's one that someone posted a while back. It is of a GMC though.
