It has been 2 years, but now it’s running *Thanks to everyone!*

Two years ago I was going to change my timing chain…..then it snowballed into a complete rebuild. The troubles I had and the things I’ve learned along the way made it all worthwhile and fun.
I’m giving everyone a big thanks for all the help along the way.
And a few pictures too.
s/t

Does it look stock?

everything that unbolts is powder coated or painted. (even the fuel line.)

Factory looking q-jet and all the brackets.

Are those vacuum lines going over to the battery?

How's it run? Looks good

It from SMI its fully calibrated for my application too.
I only have the stock air cleaner, finding one that isn't chrome is almost as hard as finding a not chrome timing cover!
Audio clips to follow soon!

The vacuum lines are going to the charcoal canister. I’m on the fence if I want to keep it or not.
Runs great had a little issue with it not wanting to idle, turned out to be a vacuum leak.

Yeah, the canister must go.

It should go without saying though, that's it's your truck, do as you please

Re: It has been 2 years, but now it’s running *Thanks to everyone!*

I forgot to post a picture of my engine mounted oil pressure gauge.
The tech guys at Auto Meter said even their oil filled gauges don’t last too well on the engine. So I opted for this location with a new SW gauge a neighbor gave me. I bought the gauge pot at the local shop.

Whatever paint they use at the radiator shop is tacky when warm, that's paper towel that stuck near the cap!

Headlight relays from M&H.

Old school air cleaner. Now does it look stock?

Just currious, in one of your pics it looks like the plug wires are not connected to plugs? I'm lookin because I am fiddlin with the repro plug heat shields that don't seem right for me.

That is correct! I should have picked a better picture!
I pulled them to inspect & was thinking of re-indexing my dizzy.

I know you`ve been around the world with this engine.I knew it would be one fine one when you got it done.so,I`m not surprised at all...sorry.
When you had a question, you asked it.When you had doubts, you asked before moving on.This thing was goin`nowhere near the wrong path if you had anything to do with it.All the info`s out there if you ask...I do.
Man,that is sweet!!!! I can`t wait to take a ride in one of my favorite trucks.I`m jealous. But,congratulations anyway.
